Artisanal Couture

The ARTISANAL COUTURE project is related to the idea of avoiding industrial felted hoods and to be able to create a completely hand crafted hat by myself.

This experience allows me to work with special wool and to be able to experiment in the future with luxury fibers like cachemere, camel and alpaca, in order to skip the use of fur animals like beaver and rabbit, in the respect of animal wellbeing.

It also allows me to experiment with unique textures, designs and colours.
For this project I would like to go deeper into natural dyes too.

These first pieces are the result of an art residency in Iceland where the contact with nature and isolated intense work were inspirational inputs for the project itself.

I’m very proud and happy to start this new adventure.
